away we go // new york, ny

away we go // NYC

we are scurry about trying to prepare for our long weekend in NYC.
both of us have been to new york a few times, but never together,
so we are so excited about exploring those city streets hand-in-hand.
we are shooting a wedding in soho on friday, & the rest of the time will be dedicated
to eating delicious food, meeting up with some family & friends,
& hopefully many miles explored by taxi, subway, & foot.

please, please let us know your favorite spots in the city!
we want a ton of recommendations for things to do & see that are non-turisty.

  1. That is so exciting! I was just in New York for the first time a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with the city!
As for recommendations, you definitely should check out the Highline by Chelsea Market. The contrast of greenery in such an urban city was pretty cool (and made for some awesome photos :) )

Hope you guys have an amazing trip..can’t wait to see the rad shots!

  2. abc carpet and home (broadway &19th st) is always fun to roam around in…and it’s right near the union square greenmarket. rainbow falafel on 17th st is super yummy (and cheap!) lunch to eat on the go (it’s only a walk up counter, no seating). city bakery (yummy cookies and hot cocoa among other things)…enjoy your time together in the city…can’t wait to see I thru your eyes.

  3. have so much fun!!

if you’re ramen lovers, go to any one of the ippudo locations, try to get there a little earlier before their opening time, you’ll get a seat right away and it is so worth it.
