this time of year always hold so much hope.
the days are starting to linger on longer.
the air holds a little bit of sweet aroma
& that fresh breeze brushes past our faces every few days.
our bones are weary & longing for the long winter to end.
& just when we feel like giving up in the midst of those weary, cold days,
a sunny day appears. reminding us to hold on. spring is on the horizon.

[a few quick snaps from our phone || to see more of our adventures, find us on instagram here.]
we spent the last 5 days exploring in southern california.
our time was filled with some of our favorite people, lots of new friends,
confetti, no sleep, dancing, the moodiest weather, so much laughter that our sides & faces hurt,
mud mud mud, glamping, visiting the ocean, & a very interesting korean massage.
since we were already sleep deprived before we went (trying to finish up that dang website),
this adventure really took it out of us.
it was so so good. but we forgot to sleep.
so, you can find us hibernating & catching up for the next month.
little dancing feet across the wooden floorboards.
baby laughter & toddler giggles filling each room.
makin’ valentines. sharing bear hugs. endless amounts of snuggles.
a glimpse into the beautiful, simple life of the watters family.
head over to the shalom imaginative blog to see their full story, read beautiful words from both amanda & andrew, & to see a short film.
early this morning we hopped on an airplane & are headed to the west coast.
we will be camping on the pacific with some other incredibly talented photographers.
california is one of our favorite places & holds the happiest place in our hearts!
can’t wait to share more about this adventure with you.
for now, we are all nostalgic & wanted to share this little film we made from our trip out to California last summer.
bursting with joy to announce that our photography business site is complete!
nate & i have been pouring our hearts into this the past few months & are so excited to share it with you.
thanks for bearing with us, being so supportive, & being such great friends as we have been a bit absent from beetle & fig.
so excited to get back to blogging more regularly & telling some more beautiful stories through our cameras.
